MicroLAB 1 | Homemade Microfludics
In the first MicroLAB the students were introduced into simple protocolls to construct microfluidic devices using PDMS.
We have been testing the Homemade Microfluidics fabrication protocols, which relies on prototype masters, cut out by hand from adhesive tape. Furthermore the students were introduced in different tricks for sealing the devices and also integrating tubings and connectors. Various devices have been produced and methods for pumping by capillary action or syringes have been investigated.
