Experiments with pumps in Taipei

During the Playaround09 Workshop in Taipei we have also been doing some experiments in Bioelectronix, building microscopes and also some hacked CD-rom drives to be used as linear syringe pumps.

MicroLAB 1 | Homemade Microfludics

In the first MicroLAB the students were introduced into simple protocolls to construct microfluidic devices using PDMS.
We have been testing the Homemade Microfluidics fabrication protocols, which relies on prototype masters, cut out by hand from adhesive tape. Furthermore the students were introduced in different tricks for sealing the devices and also integrating tubings and connectors. [...]
